Generic Forum Rules
Considering the real-time nature of this bulletin board, it is
impossible for us to review messages or confirm the validity of
information posted. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the
contents of posted messages and are not responsible for any messages
posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or
usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of
any message.
The messages express the views of the author of the message,
not necessarily the views of this BB or any entity associated with this
BB. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is
encouraged to contact us immediately by email. They may also report the post to a moderator, an option found at the bottom of every post.
We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we
will make every effort to do so immediately, if we determine that
removal is necessary.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will
not use this BB to post any material which is knowingly false and/or
defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene,
profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy
or integrity, or otherwise violative of any law. Note that any complaints concerning a particular post will be examined and dealt with according to the context of that post.
You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this BB. This includes information from pay services such as IGN Insider.
Although this BB does not and cannot review the messages posted
and is not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we at
this BB reserve the right to delete and/or edit any message for any or no reason
whatsoever.
You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this BB, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited (the makers of the bulletin board software), and their agents with
respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).
We at this BB also reserve the right to reveal your identity
(or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint
or legal action arising from any message posted by you.
Please note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and
solicitations are inappropriate on this BB.
Rules Unique to N-Sider
This BB utilizes a warning system in which a
user may be warned a maximum of 10 times before being banned. These
warnings can be potentially removed at any time with an apology and/or
a suitable explanation. A ban may be enacted at any time based on the
moderator or administrator's discretion. A ban may also be potentially
removed at any time with an apology and/or a suitable explanation.
The process of what will result in a warning
and what will result in a ban are entirely context based. Here though,
is a list that could potentially result in a warning and if malicious
enough, a ban:
- Posting messages or topics with an excessive amount of UPPERCASE letters, whether it be the entire message, alternating letters and/or separated blocks.
- Posting information with no source to back it up. This includes posting rumoured information without labelling it as such.
- Insulting any forum member.
- Posting in a thread to raise that thread to the top of the forum instead of posting to add to that thread's conversation. Known as "bumping."
- Posting messages or topics that don't add any value to forum discussion, especially in excess.
- Posting a topic that deals with the discussion of an existing topic in the forums.
- Posting a non-gaming related thread in any forum other than The Recycling Bin. Please note that this is a Nintendo related forum. Non-Nintendo related topics may or may not be moved, depending on their relevance to Nintendo or the industry as a whole.
- Creating a topic with the main purpose of welcoming yourself in any forum other than The Recycling Bin.
- Placing an image in your signature.
Note: Proper grammar and spelling are a must. It doesn't have
to be perfect, but please show respect to your fellow forum members and
make the effort.
Any and all other terms can be added and removed by the Admin’s choice.
