Nintendo sales through end of November revealed

It's that time again—Nintendo of America has updated their launch-to-date sales information, for the benefit of all the industry-watchers out there wondering just how many millions of Nintendo consoles are out there. (Noticeably absent is the recently-released Wii, but Nintendo did release some details on Wii's performance yesterday.)

As usual, U.S. numbers are tracked by NPD, and worldwide numbers by Nintendo Co., Ltd.

Nintendo DS

  • U.S. hardware: 6.63 million units
  • U.S. software: 21.42 million units
  • U.S. software/hardware ratio: 3.23 to 1
  • Worldwide hardware: 26.82 million units
  • Worldwide software: 103.60 million units
  • Worldwide software/hardware ratio: 3.86 to 1

Nintendo GameCube

  • U.S. hardware: 11.36 million units
  • U.S. software: 99.64 million units
  • U.S. software/hardware ratio: 8.77 to 1
  • Worldwide hardware: 21.2 million units
  • Worldwide software: 198.05 million units
  • Worldwide software/hardware ratio: 9.34 to 1

Game Boy Advance

  • U.S. hardware: 33.63 million units
  • U.S. software: 155.59 million units
  • U.S. software/hardware ratio: 4.63 to 1
  • Worldwide hardware: 76.79 million units
  • Worldwide software: 347.53 million units
