Mario's adventure places him in Toadstool Castle. (Toadstool Castle would also make an appearance in Peach's stage in Mario Kart 64.) Princess Peach is once again missing. Mario's only hope to get to Bowser and rescue Princess is accomplished by collecting stars within the worlds of paintings. (The theme of paintings will prove to play a major role in future Mario sequels on the Nintendo GameCube.) Collect all 120 stars to see Yoshi.
