Toshio Iwai's unique underwater creatures - the Electroplankton - come to life on Nintendo DS. Featuring a total of ten unique creatures, Electroplankton provides ten distinctly different audiovisual experiences.
Labeled as a "touchable media art" experience, Electroplankton allows players to interact with the plankton through a combination of touch and voice control. Each plankton represents a different kind of mini-game, some involving direct player control and others involving indirect manipulation of sound and graphics. Players can produce a wide range of sounds and music, from 8-bit NES-based tunes to xylophone and piano riffs.
