Released in Japan in 1978, Computer Othello marked Nintendo's entrance into the arcade gaming business. Computer Othello is a videogame version of the classic board game with the screen and controls setup on a flat table surface.
On a black screen, Othello pieces - green white or black - are replaced with square and plus symbols respectively. Computer Othello had no joystick, only ten colored buttons per player.
