Hiroyuki Kimura has an impressive history of portable game development under his belt. He worked as director on Metroid 2 while at Nintendo Research & Development 1 in the early 90s. He also worked on the graphic design for Metroid 2 and Super Metroid. Kimura was eventually reassigned to the Nintendo EAD division where he directed all of the Super Mario Advance remakes for the Game Boy Advance. Around 2004, Kimura changed his focus to the development of Nintendo DS software. In particular, he directed one of the early DS releases Yoshi's Touch & Go.
