Satoshi Yamato became the chief producer at Nintendo's Special-Planning & Development department with its creation sometime in late 2000. He oversaw many of the titles directed by Toru Osawa. In particular, Yamato assisted in the production of nearly all the Pokemon Mini titles and also several e-Reader card packs. In 2002, Yamato was appointed general manager of Nintendo Special-Planning & Development.
